Munambam Beach

Munambam is a quaint and quiet beach situated along the northern part of the serene Vypeen Island

The sights of seas and backwaters are indeed a treat to our eyes; the reason why we love to go back to those shores over and over again. However there are some beaches that aren’t quite the conventional ones boasting simply about sands and waves. Some beaches grow on us as an emotion that is formed by multiple factors. Munambam Beach in Vypeen Island of Ernakulam is one such beach – the atypical, amazing mix of many factors that make it special.

Munambam is a quaint and quiet beach situated along the northern part of the serene Vypeen Island. Just like some of the other beaches like Cherai beach nearby, Munambam beach is also famous for its calm waters and beautiful sands. A not-so-crowded shore, much of the activity along this beach is that of fisher folks who go on with their routines. You can see their lives up close and enjoy the tranquility of the picturesque spot. You get to have glimpses of Chinese fishing nets in the region, the operation of which is a treat to watch. There is a playground adjacent to the beach where kids can play and have merry. Another fun activity that you can watch and enjoy on this beach is kite flying, which is quite popular in the locale.
